Cai Guo-Qiang’s art installations are top-notch. The “Head On” exhibit, a graceful arc of contorted wolves, is probably my favorite. Apparentlyyy, in addition to winning tons of prestigious grants and awards, he was the director of the Visual and Special Effects Department at the 2008 Olympics. That’s almost as good a surprise as seeing Jackie Chan make a cameo during the closing ceremonies singing “I <3 Beijing” with gusto. What a guy! Click on the image for a link to the artist’s site.
